In the early 1800’s, leather craftsmen in search of high quality deer leather gathered in a town in New York. This area would eventually become known as Gloversville, the hub of US glove manufacturing. In 1893, glove craftsmen Elmer Little emigrated to Gloversville and established Elmer Little & Sons, becoming one of the most successful glove companies in the United States. Today, Elmer is Japanese owned, channeling the spirit of American taste and craftsmanship.
